डिप्टी सीएम ने राष्ट्रीय दृष्टि विहीनता और दृष्टिदोष नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम की नियमित समीक्षा करने के भी निर्देश दिए। डिप्टी सीएम ब्रजेश पाठक ने कहा, कार्यक्रम के तहत प्रदेश में कुल 11 लाख 65 हजार 682 की सफल नेत्र सर्जरी की गई हैं। इसमें मोतियाबिंद समेत अन्य आंखों की बीमारी से पीड़ितों की सर्जरी शामिल हैं। उन्होंने कहा, काफी अस्पतालों में फेको तकनीक से मोतियाबिंद के ऑपरेशन की सुविधा है। यह पूरी तरह से फ्री है। इसमें मरीजों को दवा आदि सब मुफ्त दी जा रही है।
